I am sat here writing this and I just cant believe what I have heard. England are crowned the Premier Test Playing Nation in the world. I dont think we have been here before and after todays win to go three nil up in a best of four seris again India who had the title its been confirmed. Another fantastic performance from England batting and bowling was awesome. I am so proud of the players who again have performed to the next level. They are an amazing team not a team of  individuals but a team of players who play for each other. Not the best paid sports men but they deserve the applause of the country for that they have achieved. Wendyball plays take not its not about money but its about playing for the team and the pride…..Well done Lads.

As I think back over all the years I have followed test Cricket and think this makes up for all the times England were at the other end of the table. The defeats loosing the Ashes home and away year after year and worst of all the thrashings we endured at the hands of the Windies where by mid morning on the first day of a test the result was know. I had to sit there and see England bowled out for less than 50, then yesterday England made of 700 before declaring. How things have changed.

I had seen people moan on twitter about this being a boring test, but you cant blame England for that, they had a job to do they wanted to win and win convincingly they did but you can only beat the team that is put out in front of you. This was a fantastic win especially when you look back at that was expected of the India side before the series started.

A couple of sad moments to mention, as England and India go to the Oval for the fourth test I really home that Sachin Tendulkar goes on to get his 100th Hundred in test cricket as he deserves it and it would be so nice to see. One last plea please Windies find that old form and come back to test cricket you are missed.

Now I how England stay top for many years to come but what would really make me happy would be to be knocked off the top spot by the Windies as I am sure they are long overdue a revival and world cricket needs this too.

I now look forward to the summer of 2013 and the next Ashes battle and all the test cricket before, listening round the radio to TMS. Tough winter tour next then South Africa next summer and I cant wait.
